Even Vegas is blocked out for CES week. I know these blackout dates were planned, because they are the slowest travel periods this winter. But in my case its worth it to pay a little more, so I can actually use my vacation time when its available to take.

Southwest is the ONLY non-stop option for this route, so this is an awesome deal for us. Add in the free bags and we are set ...
A note on "packages" - Comparing SW prices to Hotwire, in the name your hotel option, you can still save $50 ... if you go with the normal star option on Hotwire, you can upgrade for about $300 less.
Another thing I noticed with Southwest is that all non-stop flights change price at the same time, so it doesn’t matter is its 2 weeks or 2 months or 6 months from now, when they change 1, they change them all. Only when it’s within 1.5 weeks does the price change.
