Not even seeing that anymore. It's really dead.

We now have the Christmas train and the three previous winter sets plus three advent sets...may have to buy a second home just to have the space necessary for each additional set! But the kids love them and it's a nice tradition.

Someone earlier posted that Target also had this. Thanks! Just got one from Target, price is not quite as good, but it's $60, and search online for a $5 off 50 coupon, making if $55. If you have Target Redcard, an extra 5% brings it down to $52.24. Not quite as good as the Amazon deal, but only a few bucks more, if you just have to get your holiday "postal" on.

LEGO's product offerings include sets that are bigger than they have been in the past so naturally those will be more expensive. But if you took a typical current theme and looked at the spread of pricing from cheapest to most expensive sets, when adjusted for inflation, it would be similar as it was many decades ago.

For example, at $120, this set is the largest in the Pirates of the Caribbean theme:

I don't have the train, but from the pics it doesn't look all that impressive compared to the Winter Village line, especially factoring in the reseller price hike.

The Winter Village line is beautiful. Highly recommended.
