I use a conveyor oven for my store and use this metal hole sheets. Along with cornmeal. I have owned 4 different stores in the NW area from Oregon to Washington and Never once seen someone use semolina flour, But agreed on everything there is 99 ways to cook a pizza with 299 diff ovens .

I bought a couple similar pans at walmart for $4 each within the last 2 years. I couldn't believe they were so cheap... they had to be 16 or 18 inch. they have a nice textured surface that prevents sticking... check your local walmart... they might still sell them?

I buy the frozen dough at walmart... it cooks fabulous on a pan (spray on some oil). You wouldn't tell the difference. Golden crispy just right.

I worked in pizza joints.... both stones and pans. I was blown away when I used the walmart frozen dough... it's awesome and easy.

its the OVEN, heat, not the medium that the pie is sitting on...got a good powerful oven with blowing heat...i don't care if the pie sits on tile, rock, stone, grill, metal...your pizza will still turn out great

You can see in there? Walmart has determined the absolute lowest level they can set their lighting to before the drop in business outweighs the drop in sales. At the two they recently built near me, the lighting is set to this new standard and it's truly horrible. Even the parking lot is dimmer at night.

As much as I've loathed the place for other reasons for years, the dim blue fluorescent lighting gives me a headache and makes going inside the store even more miserable than it used to be.

To answer your questions:

1) A cookie sheet won't hold a $10 large Costco uncooked pizza
2) Pizza Hut and Red Baron cost more (for an equivalent amount of food) than the $10 Costco pizza. I also think the Costco pie tastes better.
3) Sometimes the goal after a really long day is simply to not have to cook dinner, and a nice cheap $10 Costco pizza will do for dinner, and lunch the next day for two. "Real" pizza is nice, but I'll leave that to the real cooks.

I'm going to be disappointed if this won't hold the Costco pizza, it's pretty big :/

Oh, the bashing is well deserved. I shop at Walmart as little as possible. I'll swing by when it's 2am and "it", whatever "it" happens to be, can't wait until morning, or because I can do an in-store pickup at a good price and spend minimal time inside. I'd rather pay the little bit more it costs to go to Target or the Kroger. I rarely will just go in and look around. I've also found that Walmart often get's "Walmart" versions of brand name things made to lower standards. To give one example, Hanes at Walmart and Hanes at JCPenny ... different Hanes to say the least. A good deal isn't always what's cheapest, it's getting the best value, and Walmart often fails on value I think.

As the economy continues to pick up, gotta wonder how Walmarts sales will fare when folks don't feel quite so compelled to shop there anymore.

Why? This is a bargain hunting site, saving somewhere between $6 & $20 (Depending on a few things) is a decent amount of money. What's YOUR after taxes take home pay per hour bud? Skimming the thread takes what, 5, 10 minutes? To "earn" the equivalent of 15-30 minutes worth of earned money for some folks?

For a lot of people, the savings from participating on sites like SlickDeals and KrazyCouponLady and so on amount to the equivalent of a 2nd part time job, with far less stress and aggravation. I've never kept track, but I'm fairly sure that it's added up to many thousands of dollars saved for me over the years, as well as sometimes being able to afford much nicer things on the same budget than I otherwise could have.

Thanks to this thread I'm not just getting two pizza pans that will do an acceptable job (I have a pizza stone, but it's to small for Costo pies), but I found that there were some nice Oneida cookie sheets and loaf pans on sale as well. If Amazon pricing reflects normal retail, I just saved about $75. That's a fair amount of money for most folks.
