I thought about the quick drain plug myself. Knowing how I am though, I'll probably forget to put it back on one day! I get lazier and lazier the more I find an easier way to do things! ha

The quickest way to drain oil is with a fumato ball valve. Install once and just pull the little lever to drain. You can even buy one with some nipple on it so you can attach a hose and doesn't make a mess. Have it on all the cars.

Super lukewarm deal. Local O'Reilly runs this every week, except w/ only a 6 qt.

Bought this randomly a couple months ago when they had this deal and I was in need of an oil pan. This is a GREAT pan for motorcycles. As for cars, I prefer to use something a little bigger. Either way, great deal since there's no rebate needed.

Ive looked at these before. For $20+ I dont see the benefit? Unless you're changing oil 10+ times a year maybe...but for most who only change 4-5 times, its not worth it. Ive never found it that difficult to unscrew the bolt. Then again I always use a small pipe that I stick on the end of the ratchet for more leverage...easy off/easy on.

Not to mention the fact that these do not appear to be built "tough." And even if they are Id rather have a solid piece of metal holding my oil in than a piece of metal with a hole in the middle with a lever holding the oil back.

To each is pwn I guess.

Not only is it lukewarm at best, it is AAPs standard oil change deal that they have offered for at least a year now. It's hardly anything new or special

Agreed. Never saw this valve before and at first thought "Cool!" But then the durability comes into place. All it takes is that valve to open and not know it and engine is seized up. Their site even has this:
Drive carefully at all times, and if you run over any foreign object on the road, pull over and check the valve for any damage or leak.
N-Series valve(with Nipple to accept hose) is not recommended for passenger cars with low ground clearance.
Cool concept but I will stick with a my socket set.
