OP can update the post to include Amazon
Whew.
Not sure if Fry's will match the Newegg price if it's OOS but they might match the Amazon price.
I've had this drive for about four months and love it. Boot time is absurd - just as the Windows Logo starts it's animation routine, it switched to my login. Configuration is a snap with the Samsung SSD Magician software (included). For my budget, the 128 drives are the sweet spot for size - plenty of room for the OS, some key apps and a couple of games. Everything else goes on the HD.
If you are waiting for SSD prices to drop further before picking one up, you're missing out on being spoiled.
I have to say though that I do seem to have had a few more sleep issues (specifically wake from sleep) than I did with the OEM spinning drive (Hitachi). However, I still had those issues with the original drive - just less frequently. I'd say I've had to reboot my MBP twice in the 3 months I've had it vs once every 2 to 2.5 months with the original.
sigh...
I chatted with customer rep. they won't honor $10 off.
goodbye to newegg - here comes tigerdirect
Good luck with that. Tigerdirect's support and business practices have been in question for years. Just try ordering anything with a screen from them- See how you receive it, see how you you try to RMA it, see how they treat you.
And what? You expect Newegg to bend over backwards for you when you should have waited another day for a sale? I don't expect companies- even solid customer service companies like Amazon or Newegg- to bend over and take it from me. We have all purchased something and found it on sale a day or two later. It's part of the gamble for those like to save money. While I understand, suck it up.
Oh well, about the same time the egg would have delivered it had I clicked "buy" early this morning.
