EDIT: I bit since a BF deal with a good CPU / Mobo combo would be unlikely. Now to keep an eye out for a good z77.
From what I see there were never front page deals on 2500k models, and only two so far including this one for the 3570k. This seems like an extreme rarity for an unlocked intel processor to find some deal thats not b&m.
Also I was planning on a phenom build with am3+ but now that steamroller is pushed to 2014 I dunno.

I know because I got a Rosewill Future gaming case + 2500k for ~$230 last year.

80'C IBT/P95 load, 60'C load everywhere else.
That's about it. 1.17-1.18v was IBT stable at 4.3GHz but threw a Prime95 Blend error at 4 hours, with lots of WHEA "Internal parity" errors on the cores in Event Viewer. 1.2v is okay but everyone else gets higher clocks at this voltage.
Doesn't have hyperthreading
for me new customac
paid 15$ to the state of texas
This is only the reason that I am on the fence to pull the trigger...
Shall I wait for a base i7 (adds hyperthreading, 8 MB cache and turbo boost takes to 3.9Hz)
What should be the price diff for a base i7 from this i5?
BTW, the K in the model overclocks nicely with a reasonable cooling system

I have a bad clocker (4.3GHz @ 1.2v) and don't really need the HT.. plus I only use my system for casual surfing, casual word processing and casual music playback.
Which is it
I also have a 3770K and was able to pull 4.8GHZ @ 1.24V. It does run a bit toasty though, hovers around ~80-85C under full load.
On topic:
TigerDirect screws up specs left and right, so does Newegg and Amazon.
Just use the specs listed on Intel's website.

They're not built to run past 80.
But if you're OK with it, so am I :p.
