Nice! Thanks for the info
It doesn't sound like you ever had ANY AMD video card because your post reeks of trolololo. Overscan/underscan is as simple as going to the configure screen for each monitor. In terms of multi-monitor, AMD is pretty awesome. You can create presets. In fact on my HTPC, I have 3 different presets for different configs. Click them and instantly change to a diff config exactly like you want them.
Generally I've found AMD cards to be 1000x better for media and general use. Nvidea cards usually are a hair faster for raw gaming power, but slower for normal pc use and historically were absolutely atrocious for any kind of tv output w/o relying on 3rd part programs to tweak resolution, refresh rates, and crap, and still not work after all that.
until the advent of opencl, nividia was the media card of choice, in part because of opengl support... fortunately that has changed, because amd embraced opencl, which is not proprietary... they effectively forced nvidia to implement it.
the best bang for the buck is currently with amd, at least for now, but they certainly haven't done everything right... i have found that the nvidia drivers are more stable than what amd is offering.
One snag with this VisionTek card is it is probably not a reference design (someone needs to confirm). That may make it harder to find a water block for it if one cares about that.
And come up with a better example to back up your argument, because that example makes absolutely no sense. I never said anything about comparing a HD 7970 to a GTX 680 was unfair, on a Black Friday.
