Newegg is now charging $5 shipping for the motherboard.
Newegg.com has a nice combo deal [newegg.com] of the AMD A6-3670K Unlocked Llano 2.7GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU with the BIOSTAR A75MG FM1 AMD A75 motherboard for $147.98 - $15 MIR = $132.98 AR. The same combo is available with the AMD A8-3850 APU for $5 more, see the end of this post. The A8 has better graphics, but is not overclockable. Overclocking the A6 can make the CPU portion outperform the A8.
Also included with the combo is 2x4GB 1.5V DDR3-1600. When this deal was first posted, it also includeda Dirt SHOWDOWN Gift Coupon and the free memory was from Patriot. Unfortunately the motherboard lacks HDMI.
So for $132.98 AR by adding the combo [newegg.com] to your cart you get the following items:
If you got in on the Gigabyte Radeon HD 6670 from microcenter, you can set up dual graphics [hardwarecanucks.com] for a nice boost. Here's a youtube video [youtube.com] of such a setup (A6-3650 & HD 6670 DDR5) playing BF3 at 1080p.
Other CPUs that qualify for this deal:
AMD A4-3300 Llano 2.5GHz Socket FM1 65W Dual-Core [newegg.com] - $109.98 - $15 MIR = $94.98 AR
AMD A4-3400 Llano 2.7GHz Socket FM1 65W Dual-Core [newegg.com] - $114.98 - $15 MIR = $99.98 AR
AMD A6-3500 Llano 2.1GHz (2.4GHz Max Turbo) Socket FM1 65W Triple-Core [newegg.com] - $129.98 - $15 MIR = $114.98 AR
AMD A6-3650 Llano 2.6GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core [newegg.com] - $137.98 = $122.98 AR (Dropped by $5 since this thread started)
AMD A8-3850 Llano 2.9GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core [newegg.com] - $151.98 - $15 MIR = $136.98 AR
The A8-3870K currently has its own $15 off promo code (EMCJNHG72) so it's cheaper to buy it outside of the combo deal by adding both the motherboard [newegg.com] and the APU [newegg.com] to your cart for a total of $164.98 - $15 MIR = $149.98 AR
AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core [newegg.com] - $166.98 - $15 MIR = $151.98 AR

8:24 pm (MST), Oct 22 2012, I am able to add A8_3870K to cart and the ram still shows up in my cart.
i feel the need to edit the wiki since i got my system now and fully assembled for my friend. i opt for the A8-3850 as i am not planning on over clocking.
to say i am impressed is a understatement, and this is speaking from who build premium intel HTPC.
start with the win 7 score: CPU 7.3, RAM 7.5, Graphic 6.6, Gaming: 6.6 HDD 5.9 (traditional HDD, not SSD)
for a point of reference, i recall the GT 240 getting the similar graphic scores. so the IGP in this chip is very good to say at the very least. my main HTPC system: i7-2700 (4.2GHz), 16G cruiser ram, 570 SLI/ 830 scores 7.7/7.8/7.9/7.3 respectably. similar scores, but number of times more expensive.
now to those who wonder about HDMI audio. the M/B's DVI-D does output Audio, all you need is a DVI to HDMI cable. i have personally tested it. (HDMI and DVI-D both uses the same electrical contact. difference is HDMI encode video/audio/aux in those contact while most DVI doesn't, but this one does).
the fan is quiet, on the same level as i7/i5. it does spin up when running prime 95. the Tj.max is surprising low at 70 degrees.
don't rely on HWmonitor or core temp to read, use open hardware monitor. this is as close as you can get from BIOS reading.
i run it out of a HTPC case with 220W CPU. the max power consumption for this chip is about 105W.

Some benchmarks to compare the two here [anandtech.com]. In multithreaded applications, the A6-3670K can keep up since it has two more cores.
that ram is esp a good deal. haven't seen something that good as a freebee.
