GOG.com has begun a new pay what you want deal for an assortment of games from Interplay Software. All games are DRM free, in total valued at $200 according to their site. Some titles include soundtracks and additional "goodies".

Pull the slider to the left for the cheap name your price games.
When you see the price of .99 cents just change it to .01 and then proceed to checkout for the penny deal.

Also, if you're too cheap to buy the new X-Com to see if it's something you'll enjoy, I would definitely recommend Jagged Alliance 2. It's a great game by itself, and in the same vein.

Agreed! Great game. But I shelled out for the new x-com and beat the first run through in 19hours, good game. Going to try it again. i think I missed a few things.

Freespace 1 + 2 are some of the best games ever made. Freespace 2 has a free fan-made mod package with high-res textures, doesn't look as good as a "modern" top of the line game, but it still looks fantastic

For the freespace 2 mod (includes updated freespace 1 graphics and tons of other mods)

freespace 2 is such an amazing game...when i was younger i made my own missions which was basically just getting as many capital ships and fighters onto the screen as possible and watching the beauty and destruction

Loved Die By The Sword! If you liked that game back in the day you definitely should check out Mount & Blade: Warband.
