$200 price drop on this excellent camera. If you're looking at purchasing the Sony NEX7 or the Sony NEX5N, you should look into this one as well. Same sensor as the NEX5N but with in-body shake reduction system and far more compatible lenses (basically all Pentax K mount lenses).

Autofocus -> please note that most reviews you find online will be with firmware 1.0. Pentax has released firmware 1.01, which improves auto focus in low light and increases focus speed for a lot of lenses. It's discussed on pentax forums and there are youtube videos showing before/after focus speeds.

Folks. I received my camera last night. As suspected, it was at Firmware 1.00. MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE TO version 1.01. I could hardly get a focus at all in low light with 1.00.

Yeah, the only problem is that it's larger than the NEX cameras, it's about as big as a DSLR, because it basically is one. Still, if you just want absolute image quality, $350 for this camera is hands-down the best bang for your buck. Pentax has some great lenses in the lineup, plus there are the Tamron and Sigma choices as well.

dang it, i just bought a nex 5 off sony outlet for 320 that came with the 16mm kit lens... huge failed.

This is awesome deal at this price. I am not big fan of design but it doesn't effect quality of pictures, on par with amazing K-5! Only if K-30 was at this price. I know, it is just wishful thinking. Smilie

Wow, nice price. I never evaluated this camera as an upgrade from a Pentax K-r, anyone have thoughts? No viewfinder scares me, basically because liveview on the K-r is unusable from lag. At this price it could almost be a free upgrade by selling the K-r.
