I can't comment on earbuds but, every over the ear set I've had have failed.

Heshs are terrible. My friend and I both bought a pair and in less than a year both headbands had snapped. My fiance also has a pair of Agents that every time I wear them, after 30 minutes of gaming I feel like my head is going to explode.

Does anyone know of any good quality inexpensive earphones.. not the kind that you have to really stick into your ear.. but the ones that just sit in your ear the way the regular apple earphones are..

I've been very happy with all the skullcandy stuff I've had, FWIW.

I actually just had to send in my Skullcrushers. After about 3 months of use, the sound in the right earbud just randomly stopped. The best part about their warranty is that instead of sending you a product replacement, they just give you a coupon code and let you pick out something else, so you could just use that on another style if you wanted. The worst part is that the coupon code is only applicable on Skullcandy.com and the selection there is very limited.

I like the Ink'd earbuds. I buy a few pairs a year because I lose them or occasionally I'll lose the silicone tips and just put the pair aside until one of the others stops working which has only happened a couple of times.
They are great for mowing the lawn or weed eating since the sound isolation is good but if that annoys you then the Ink'd are not for you.
Anyway these are way better for $6 then any of the crap I've bought off this site for $3 and $4 over the years.

Picking up a few pairs now since I was just thinking today that I needed some more.

In for 2 pairs of ink'd earbuds. If you're complaining about the quality of $6 earbuds you've got issues... I buy these because I like to keep a few pairs everywhere. One for the office, one for the gym bag, one for the laptop bag, one in the car, etc... At $6/ea you can't go wrong and quality isn't that bad at all. Equivalent to the Sony MDREX71's that they replaced.

sorry, but skullcandy is hands down the worst sounding headphonea i ever wasted money on.
