Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation (Refurbished, White or Black): 64GB $229, 32GB $179, 8GB $129 + Free Shipping (expired)

I just got a 6th generation nano... wondering which one i would prefer more. The only reason i got the nano was for the watch feature and maybe some music while running, etc. I already have a smart phone so i don't see what my use would be for this. If anyone has experience on both any feedback would be appreciated!

A word of advice for all you parents who are buying their kids iPods: be sure to check all the pockets when doing their laundry. You've been warned.

Ordered mine yesterday at this price. Should have posted....I could.have been fp. Snooze ya loose.

Almost ordered a 16GB from Amazon for $195 (no sales tax).

Instead, I ordered a 32GB via this deal for $190 (including tax).

My 11 year old should be impressed with me pleased, and I won't have to give up my iPhone 4s for him to play on anymore.

Now I need to research all of this "Freedom Sleeve" stuff.

With regard for apps for these, you can really get a ton of apps for free fairly easily. Many apps that typically cost money will go on sale to free for a day or two from time to time. My favorite app, Appshopper, lets you find these sale games by allowing you to get a Top 200 Free Apps by Biggest Rise. When apps go on sale, they shoot up the charts. They also let you make a wishlist which highlights when games you want go on sale. Appshopper is free, of course.

I've gotten hundreds of apps that typically cost money for free in this fashion. I'd probably have gotten more but I keep filling up my 16gb ipad which curtails my downloading.

I second this!!

My son's ipod touch went through the washer and dryer. Put it in rice for 4 days and now it only messes up occasionally. Luckily, the second time it was about to go through the washer the ipod fell out of his pocket.

Reading these posts makes me wonder if my 4.5 yo son is stunted in his development. He doesn't know what and iPod or iPad is. He plays with Thomas the train and other engines and his toy cars and reads books (well looks at the pictures).

How would I even introduce him to these gadgets?

Got two 32GB white models for my daughters (8, 6) and Santa will do some dressing up of the ipods if they come like that. I always charge them ahead of time anyway, and will just put them in whatever case I get as well and then wrap them up in a clever way without the box if they are all plain.

Yes you can turn off Youtube, Safari, etc...You put in passwords for app downloads, you can turn off in app purchases. It can be made completely kid proof. You can turn off the ability to delete apps so the kids can't accidentally delete anything as well. And if you just wanted them to have a break from it you can password protect the whole system.
