I was not charged tax with this deal. I was charged tax when I ordered from the Apple store (yes I bought 2 of them). I live in Seattle, WA.
According to the info on Ebay these come with a brand new battery and the previous OS (that would be iOS 5 or maybe 5.1 according to the guy who posted above). They basically look and work brand new with quality inspection done by Apple.

How do you do this thru shopdiscover? I have logged into shop discover but cant find this deal thru their website. Is that how you do it or is there another way?
yeah.. when i chose "pick up from store" it said there were 16 available at that store..
most kids pick these things up and learn to use them very quickly. sometimes the apps are a waste of time and sometimes they are amazingly good at teaching skills and information. how you sort through all the options will ultimately determine if it is a good purchase or a bad one.
And FWIW he has technology exposure, he has age appropriate electronic toys.
oh crap.. I was a bit drunk last night when i ordered and I just read it correct... I read it "available now 16"... but it's actually "available Nov 16"... damn...
