already a thread on this but it's firefly so i can't really complain! just glad i got mine.

every collection should have this set imo... that would be the first thing i looked for in any blu-ray collection.
(since buffy/angel isn't on blu)

Depends. A lot of folks here (myself included) have Amazon prime, so second-day shipping is included (I won't call it "free"). If you're set up for it, it's just much easier- one click and it appears on your doorstep, well packed, sometimes even the next day but at least by the day after.

This time of year I'll gladly pay a few cents... or even a few bucks, not to have to drive to and go into a Best Buy. The once or twice I tried to order something shipped to the store I had to wait in the same customer service line as the returns- and gave up at least once. There was no way I was getting to the counter in less than an hour behind all the angry people who couldn't figure out how to hook up their TVs, or are shocked, shocked that Blu-Ray disks won't play on their DVD, or whatever.

I've also had BB back-order on me. By the time the movie showed up, I didn't even remember ordering it. I went to my e-mail buffer to figure it out and it had been almost three months.

Generally, I wait for Amazon to come close to matching BB's price... and, generally, they do. I doubt BB will be with us this time next year anyway.

I HATE BB. But there's no point supporting an online merchant whose price point is the SAME as a B&M one and you have to pay SALE TAX where you live to both merchants.

I just don't support AMZ for the fact that they refused to stand behind its customers like myself and fought the State Governors the sale tax issue.

I guess that Science Channel's promos have worked on me since I've been wanting to see this after their advertising (don't even get me started on why this show is even on the Science Channel). Having a nice sized pile of Amazon credit is really making it too easy to pick stuff like this up.

I hate BB as well, but its a Minnesota company that is really struggling and I would prefer that they didn't go under from a jobs perspective. But the closest BB to me is an hour away. That's a big reason Amazon gets a ton of my business, very few local businesses in my small community. Plus, so far Amazon doesn't charge sales tax in MN

oh yeah, this is a slick deal on a terrific TV show! But I've opted out of the whole Bluray phase. I got tired up updated my favorites from VHS (yeah, I'm that old) to DVD and then Bluray.

Best Buy is being VERY competitive lately. Since Amazon has begun to charge tax in my state and BB reopened their "re-imagined" store (which is a lot nicer and cleaner BTW) I enjoy shopping there. The people are still idiots though, I'll give you that.

Amazon didn't have anything to stand behind. And TBH, if you are a trustworthy person, then you would have been filing all your Amazon purchases and paying tax on them at the end of the year anyway, like you are SUPPOSED to do.

It's a lot easier letting Amazon collect the tax for you, instead of having to work it all out yourself and pay it in at the end of the year. Of course with Amazon collecting tax there's no way for you to "forget" to pay it.

alot of times it was the dvd box set which is the one i've bought... been waiting for a good deal on the blu-ray set to get that since i had the dvd set to hold me over.
