How is the noise canceling of this ear bud?

You get what you pay for. These are really cheap ear phones. The sound is horrible. 2 out of 5 DOA for me. But for $4, and for kids to play, who cares ...

In for 1! I fall asleep with headphones in, all the tossing and turning makes me go through them pretty quick. So these should work great

I picture noise isolating (like these) as a little extra padding around the ear bud so less noise gets in around it.

Noise canceling is an active device. ie. a BOSE headset. It uses electronics to physically send a reverse wave to cancel out the noise. hence Canceling.


Noise isolating is like using styrofoam to block out tthe noise. In the case of the tiny earphones, They will fold a soft piece of plastic twice to form a hollow space to reduce the sound intensity. Almost like earplugs.

The tiny earbuds will never be noise canceling, its too expensive to shrink the electronics to that size.

Bought 2 for stocking stuffers. My son seems to break or lose his - so these cheap ones will be great!

Are these earbuds good compared to skullcandy Ink'd?

it's basically 80 cents per pair of headphones... making them disposable headphone, no?
they can't sound any worse than the headphones that airlines hand out.

here's my question... I recently bought a very nice pair of in-ear headphones(earbuds) for almost
$200. (!) For that amount, I can buy 250 pairs of these 80-cent headphones. Are my $200
headphones 250 times better than these 80-cent ones?

I've gotten these before. Only 2 of the 5 worked out of the box.
If you're looking for complete disposables, the $4 is worth it (or if you're like me and waste more than that on throwaway stuff in person). If you're looking for something that might hold up for a week or two, these aren't it.
