Though things to take into consideration with this lappy:
Nice specs: memory and hard drive and chipset.
Bad sepcs: Low screen resolution, does not have the keyboard backlight (optional)

It's still a solid price for the included RAM and HD capacity though.

It's an awesome deal for a general, all purpose, light gaming, laptop.
And the crazy good Z580 Staples deal from August that was only $400 didn't have as big of a hard drive either. And sure, you can always swap in an SSD for the extra boost. Those are cheap these days too. Put the included hard drive in a drive bay and ditch the DVD Rom drive.

I think most people like having the CD/DVD drive on their desktop computers, especially with the more modern, thinner ultrabooks losing the disc drives. Most people like to have at least one machine on hand that can still read them if they need to.

1) Vostro is sold out
2) Vostro has smaller screen
3) Vostro has half the Ram
4) Vostro has a 320 gig hard drive (vs 1 terabyte here)
