Damn just bought the extreme4 do you think newegg would throw in the memory even if they shipped it?

I've been contemplating what z77 board to buy and asrock extreme series definitely sounds good.

I'm curious what other opinions are of the three boards and their differences.
Other than the higher series having more USB 3.0 ports, more 6 Gb/s ports, and higher power phases.
I'm just curious what are the major differences between Extreme 3, 4, and 6?

Are the Crossfire/SLi PCI-E bandwidth about the same?

I don't know anything about the differences with these boards, but I have an extreme 4 that I'm happy with. Had this deal been available when i got mine I probably would have grabbed it. All I need is 2 ram slots one video card slot and the ability to overclock.

Hells yeah! Why shouldn't they!!?? They should throw in a 60" Plasma TV to boot just for your trouble. They need to go back and adjust prices on all their transactions. No big deal!! On motherboards alone, they put different models on sale about 5 times a week. Ain't no thing for them to go through and adjust (add shit, that is) every transaction prior to a sale.

If they refuse, tell them you'll complain to the BBB and leave negative feedback everywhere. Then pull the trump card and tell them you'll never spend another penny at their rip-off establishment again. That'll show 'em!!

I noticed the broadcom on the extreme4, how much better is that?

I'm trying to figure out how much the upgrade path is compromised if I go with extreme3 instead of extreme4.

Don't know how much value in getting free 2 x 4gb dimms since I'll have to toss them to get to 32gb eventually.

With 2 x 6gb Sata for the raided ssds, and remaining 4 x 3gb sata for hard drives I think I'll be ok.

For those who don't know, newegg.com specs say K processor supported for Extreme3 but not Extreme4 but it is supported.

Also noticed a big difference in audio snr if you are hoping to stay with onboard.

lan chip on 3 is buggy! 4 also has a better audio chip. The 4 is clearly a better board. But what you decide on may be a hair pulling, nail biting, hand wringing, 3 cigarette decision!

Just got this... I guess I saved myself a couple bux and not have to buy a new RAM. Gonna get the i7 3770k from MicroCenter since they no longer have the Mobo CPU deal.

8GB should be enough for gaming now isnt it? I was gonna get 16GB XD.

Oh, I thought it was 2GBx2 hehe, this is better than I thought, 8GB is def more than enough XD

They wouldn't adjust something I bought. They gave some lame excuse "prices/promos fluctuate often and you're SOL" is basically how it went.
