The 70g is LED with 30,000 hours on unit and no bulb change. or extra costs.
The acer is DLP and between 3,000-4,000 hours on bulb... with 200 bulb cost.
They are about the same price on sale 350 and 399. 50 dollar difference.
The acer is only 1 year warranty, but the 70g is 2 year warranty.
They are both 3d ready.
They are both 720p.
With the LED you can turn it on and off any time and watch as many hours as you like. With DLP everytime you turn on bulb you use 4 hours of bulb hours. So say you used it for 2 hours and turned it off, you actually used 4 hours. And you don't turn it on and off any time you want.
The acer will be brighter and better for rooms with more lights on in room, they should BOTH be good in dark rooms.
It's not clear cut which is better. I rather have 2 year warranty and 30,000 hours of the LED, and to be able to turn it on and off anytime, for tv shows.
It will be good to hear how other people compare the 2 models.
THAT SAID, if you plan to do lots of 3D, get the brightest one you can get because even the Acer (I have it now) is just adequate for 3D as brightness get cut-down with 3D glasses. If you just do mostly 2D hd stuff, get the LED.
