Higly recommended. I hated bouncy gooseneck holders. Then suction cups would die in the hottest summer months and coldest winter months, here in Indiana where we have the worst of both. This luckily, doesn't block any vital controls on my car, so it's perfect!

Thanks OP! Can't say I've ever tried this mount style, but I know the suction cups die quickly here in the Houston summers, and the AC vent clips block all the cold air (also not desirable in Houston), so this style is worth a shot.

Caution with CD function button/eject or what not on your player...don't wanna fck up your moving parts inside the CD motor.

Have one and also highly recommend. Depending on how your dashboard is set up, it might block the view of a couple of buttons or a display, but this is so much better than vent or windshield mounts. Never comes loose and is located in perfect view in my car. Also, it's so easy to move from car to car. It's really trivial to take it out and move it to a different car.

I've bought 3 of these at this price in the past from Meritline. It's really well built and works excellent. I'd recommend it. It seems Meritline has sales on these every couple of weeks. Glad they do.

The only minor complaint is that it might either block things on top or below of the CD changer slot (e.g. your function buttons or the lcd display of the player). It's not a big problem with my situation. Also remember you can mount it upside down to help minimize that issue. Once mounted just rotate the holder part right side up. Finally, the end clip that is used as a rest can be taken off. I had to do that because my case made my phone thicker and prevented me threading the charger cable through the clip.

thanks, finally bit on this one. i've been checking it out for a while but have held off out of fear of damage to cd slot or covering buttons, but i got a suction mount a while back and on my one car just don't have anywhere to put it outside of the windshield, which i hate to use

As mentioned you can flip it over so you can choose whether to block more of whats above or below the cd slot.

Bought 2, wanted one for Mom's Christmas gift and been wanting to try it since my lighter one isn't overly sturdy. Hope this goes well in my car but great price thx OP.
