Unless you are making coffee for a whole family or office, might as well go with a smaller/similar ones, they are 35 and less on amazon

I have a Bonjour 8-cup. Makes enough for 3 medium sized mugs... still trying to find the right solution for late night at parties when 4+ people are looking for coffee. The Keurig is just too slow to do 4 or 5 in a row.

I may try this one, anyone have experience with this model or the Bodum Chambord series in general?

This really isn't that huge. Coffee is measured in 5 ounce cups, which is about the size of fancy china cups that nobody likes to use.

Americans tend to use 12 or sometimes 16 ounce mugs at home. Medium and Large coffees from a coffee shop are 16 and 20oz in most places. So this is more like 3-4 US servings of coffee. That could easily be consumed by two people in a morning. If I needed to replace my press, I'd strongly consider getting this to avoid making two batches of coffee on many weekend mornings. It would be just as easy to make half as much coffee with this for the weekdays.
