Macys' last "One" Day Sale of 2012 is taking place on December 21st and December 22nd. The $10 off $25 coupon can be printed from the following link: http://akimages.crossmediaservice..._12.22.pdf
The coupon is valid from store opening until 1 PM local time on both days. Most stores will allow customers to use these coupons until 2 PM.
The coupon will NOT work on morning specials, super buys, EDV (Every Day Value that ends with 98 cents) and Regular Price Items.
You can print as many of these coupons as you like and use it as many times as you like. To maximize your savings, break up your purchases in $25.00 increment if you can.

Merry Christmas!
Could they be more vague? Do those "select home items" have to be on sale/clearance in order to use the 10 off 25 coupon?

also did not apply to the morning specials, girls coats were 75% off and would have been much sweeter with the 10/25 Q. One reason I hate Macy's promos
I shopped there yesterday - will be returning tomorrow
To me , coffee can be a HOME item!.. ha...
Here's my mini guide to buying frugally during the one day sales.
People saying it doesn't work on 95% of things are flat out exaggerating. It's more like doesn't work on 30-40% of the things. It's pretty easy to tell what it doesn't work on. Anything that's an EDV or a Morning special. They're clearly marked and if you can't read then don't blame Macys when you fail at the cash register.
The trick to maximizing savings with this coupon is to obviously buy things that are within 25-40 dollars. That'd make the actual % savings maximized.
For example, today I bought a nice thick sweater that was 24.99. Added a sock in the clearance section for 3 dollars and applied the coupon. It goes -9 on sweater and -1 on sock. If you're REALLY cheap you can return the sock later on, and essentially get a sweater for 16 bucks.
Some also say their prices overpriced and there are no deals to be had. But for example, it is pretty much the cheapest you can find a staple like Dockers D1 Khaki's for work. Usually online you'll see on the Dockers site their khakis for 30-35 dollars with discounts. At macys today it was 35, minus 10 coupon is 25 out the door. Over the last few months, the cheapest I've seen them aside from Macys ODS is with Kohl's at around 27-28, and you needed to buy 4. Similarly, their expensive and popular Alpha Khaki's line went to 45, down to 35 with the coupon during the last one day sale, which is pretty much as cheap as Alpha Khaki's get. For reference, they're about 55 dollars on Docker's site right now.
The best deals are finding their clearance racks that AREN'T morning specials. Today's ODS wasn't as great, as the clearance rack of dress shirts were MS. However, last month's ODS, I was able to find nice slim fitting dress shirts that discounted down to 10-17 dollars. You get two of those, or add on some accessory like socks or belt that you need, and use the coupon. You can get two dress shirts for around 10 bucks each. And these aren't cheap JCPenny/Ross boxy ugly dress shirts. They're decent fabric, slim cut, modern designs. My personal favorite that fit me best are their macy's brand Bar III shirts, but I also buy some others like Kenneth Cole, DKNY, CK, GB, etc.
So there you have it. It's not a magic super slick deal sale, but it's just about the best sale you can get for work clothes and other cheap 10-40 dollar purchases. It isn't great for big purchases like Suits/ heavy jackets, or nice shoes, where you're better off using flat % off coupons you get from macys rewards. But for small things, it's a nice sale. One woman in front of me who clearly knew how to score a slick deal bought hella ties for her whole office. You find them on clearance for 12-15, buy in multiples of 2, and you're basically getting good<10 dollar ties.

If you are smart, you print out multiple and take them in. The code on the coupon isnt one time use, the coupon itself is per transaction. Its technically one per customer if you bother to read the fine print, so technically its against the rules to do more but.....
