Possibly the single worst front page deal I've ever seen. I read all the time and I've not heard of a single one of these authors (at least not one that wrote anything this century). I am not saying that some of these may not be good - I am certain some would be - but in comparison to the 20 mp3 albums that they sold for $1 each a few months ago, this list of 50 books is ridiculous. At least they coud have thrown in 3 or 4 books that are somewhat known.

This is a disappointing "deal"... Not only are the only two interesting titles (Sherlock Holmes and Jane Austen collections) both showing up at >$1 for me, I also got signed up for some national deals mailing list from Amazon while getting the coupon... I think amazon is trying to get names added to their list cheaply with a worthless deal.

Disagree. The selection of ebooks at my public library is FAR better than Amazon's sorry little lending library, and I don't have to pay anything to borrow them. I checked the Amazon lending library now and then when i had Prime and rarely found anything worth reading.
