Slickdeals App for iPhone & iPod Touch Free

The mobile site is still better IMO. Add a simple shortcut to the homescreen and you're done. Less overhead during backups and less storage on your phone (minimalism).

I'm waiting for the android version.

What is different between "iSlick" and this new app?

They said they get twice the amount of traffic on iOS then android.

I own a few android devices, I don't use them to surf the web though, I use my iPad and iPhone for that. Way smoother experience with the iOS products. If I want to store and view my collection of "borrowed" media, I'll use my android devices. Different devices with different purposes.

Yea, I was about to mention my observation, but didn't want to incite another iOs Android war. I always see my iOS pals surfing the web on their devices, but my Android amigos don't seem to web surf with as much frequency. I too, add HD video MKV files for play on my HP Touchpad but can't do so with my iPhone unless I do a 1+ hour conversion (bleh).

For me at least, it's irritating that the official app doesn't have a quick way to forward the deal to someone else. I do that often enough that iSlick is more appealing if only for that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems you now have to go the actual deal within the app and then chose to copy link. Even then, I couldn't copy/paste that into a text mssg, only an email.

Simple functionality, stupid oversight.

Sharing to Facebook, Twitter, and Email will be in the next update. We'll also have app url scheme so you can open threads & deals directly.

I use the slickdeals reader app on the Android and it works pretty well. I wonder though, does "mobile" traffic actually record the data from apps or just browser traffic?

Seems good - I wish I could filter by thumbs up since Hot Deals 4+ is my usual scanning.
