Slickdeals App for iPhone & iPod Touch Free

Can someone please help me remove the badges from the app? I don't see it in settings or an option in-app. I really don't need to see new badges every time there is an alert, which is prettymuch every single day.

Which app are you talking about? I do see you have push notification turned off on the iPhone App, so turning on push notifications will 0 it out when you receive a notification.

is the android app open source? I'd love to contribute if it is.

How does one go about getting the android app? Can one report issues with an app that he can't access? I'd love to help test it if it's not ready for primetime.

Does the app work in landscape mode on ioS?

I don't get why this is a front page deal??? Why not use one of the advertising spots and leave the deals section for actual deals

WIth the IOS app, I need a different notification sound or the option to change it in settings. Having it the same as the default text and voicemail notifications has caused me a lot of headache.

Apologies if this has already been addressed. I read through the last 20 pages in this thread and haven't found a reply to the issue, but did see at least one other person complain about it.

Otherwise, I really appreciate the app! It's great getting push notifications instead of deal alert emails that I have to go through and delete. Thanks for your work in bringing this to the community.

Sure, we can add a custom tone. I have no ETA for this however.

We're putting the finishing touches on the app and doing an internal beta testing. We'll be doing a closed beta with our members when we get a lot closer to release.

Is it possible to sort the threads by Thread Started, and not last post time? I am signed into my account on this app, and I see posts on computer sorted by Thread Started. That is what I am interested in.

Why can't the truth be told regarding the Android App? Back in Dec. there were reports that the app was being developed and here it is March and the app is just now in Beta Testing? I work as a developer in a small team for a decent sized company . If we told our upper level managers that we were developing an application as simple as the one you've been working on and four months later told them we just started beta testing, we'd probably be fired. You aren't building the app from the ground up, you have a template, just different code. As a person who has developed in multiple languages, that aspect makes the job all the more easy. Honesty is something that is lost in America right now. I would rather here Slickdeals come out and say, "Hey we develop the Android app when we feel like it and we spend most of our time on the IOS apps." I can respect that last statement. I may not like it but I respect it.

I'm getting a notification on iPhone 5 of the same deal alert every time I get a notification from any app. Anyone else experiencing this?
