I've used over a dozen different earbuds to the $200 price range and I stick with these. I find the Skullcandy full metal jacket to be great in audio quality, but the best in drowning out background noise (maybe its just the perfect fitting earbuds - comes with 5 sizes). I've used the FMJ for 20 hours a week in a loud office for 2 years and never had a problem, totally blocks out noise. I do like the audio quality more in two others, one Sony and one Plantronics (both $100 sets), but neither drown out background noise as well.

It's a shame they are sold out of the $50-60 backpacks and PLYR1 gaming headsets, because those would be amazing prices at half off. I'll be checking their inventory again before Christmas.

I think they acknowledged the fact they this happened. So I think they are offering buySAFE for free.

Don't buy Skullcandy crap, guys. Their products are unbelievably terrible.

Skullcandy is good for some cheap earbuds to wear to the gym that still sound good. I've had a few different pairs. They won't last 10 years, but for five dollars or whatever, why would you expect them to. I get the ink'd.

The expensive Skull Candy items aren't worth it. But I have a pair of the Icon 2's that I wear snowboarding and I love them. They've taken some hard hits, and are still going strong. Mind you I purchased them when they were on sale, but I'm very pleased with them.

Also just got my Vandal from them that I purchased for $25, and it's great. Worth the original $180? Probably not, but again, Skull Candy items go on sale a lot, and are usually worth the sale price.

After the responses I think I'll stick to buying from them through their store on Ebay and not use their website.

Actually: http://www.head-fi.org/t/603885/r...er-duality at half off these are pretty good. Plus I am looking for a decent set of cans i can just crush while traveling and not worry about. Not everyone wants a pair of boring grados or senns. For the people that are thinking of going beats I'd rather steer them this way. They even slightly hold their own against vmodas (I didn't write that write up on headfi)

I like how people say this company is garbage and the products are horrible. I tried skullcandy a few years ago and won't go to any other product. Last year my friend received beats ear buds so I thought I would give them a try. Yes they were good sounding but I think my inks sounded just as good if not better. And $5 vs $200+.... you could be the judge. But hey, different strokes for different folks. Thanks OP!
