It is a promotional credit - good for amazon sold items only - the only issue w/ promotional credit is that it expires March 31 - so you need to be sure you'll spend $100 by then.

As good as an amazon gift card to me.

How is the IPS panel on TV's compared to the LED LCD TV's? Any input on this?

I have this TV. Everything about it is great, except the black levels are trash. But I personally think that goes for all budget LED's. Light bleeding like a mofo.
