I wouldn't steep tea in a plastic infuser. I would be fine with BPA-free if it was a few seconds of contact but not a 5 minute steep. Granted I'm probably more cautious than the average Joe Blow. Good price for the French press.

Just handle the travel version with care. Some reviews state it is very fragile and sometimes a few of the coffee grounds manage to pass through the press filter.

WOW $22 for a 51oz is great.
I've had this same press, used daily and no issues for about 2 years now.
Recently bought the $35 deal for the other style 51 oz and just received it (packed great)...
But damn, even though mine has some minor upgrades, I would have bought this instead.
Don't hesitate, you will be happy.
