Cinema 3D = Passive 3D = Uses cheap glasses like the movie theaters
Note: This is a 60hz panel. LG Lists it as 120hz Trumotion and they seem to think this is ok because they utilize a stronbing backlight claimging it gives the clarity of a 120hz panel. Most major brands are doing this now... listing some number as a "clarity" rating that is higher than the actual hz of the panel. Testing has shown that this does not improve motion resolution however it did seem to remove judder in 24fps material. For many lower end TVs there is no Trumotion setting. LG claims it is just always on. If this is the case it is on in some way that does not create soap opera and also in some way that does nothing but perhaps help remove judder form 24fps material. BTW as for above like movie theaters, the glasses are like movie theater glasses, and in fact are interchangeable - the technology is not. Movie theaters use a system much more like active 3D sets than passive 3D consumer sets. I'm no expert but I dont think you can do 3D with 60Hz, because it would reduce the rate to 30 per left/right?

The LG 42LM3400 appears to be a model that was primarily targeted to other countries.
