I have a pair of these and they are great. I think I paid $15 for mine back in March. These are very comfortable for me and sound great to my non-audiophile ears. I am thinking about getting a second pair so that I can keep one at home and one at the office.

I have the HA-RX900's which are like a $60ish set and they are on par with anything in the $100ish range, they are amazing. I want to jump on a set of these 300's but I wonder how lackluster they will be...

I'm trying to decide. I'm not a fan of cans, mainly because after short time your ears get sweaty from being closed up inside the foam surrounds. Price is hot, however.

Definitely send the KSC75s for replacement...check out the mods available for it on Head-Fi, they are considered to be the best budget audiophile headphones available by many.

Is there a mod to make them more reliable? I love the way they sound, and I love their design (I can't stand earbuds, and the clip-on design is so much more lightweight, comfortable, and portable than the traditional over-the-ear design), but I've gone through 3 sets now in the last 3 years. Eventually one of the sides ends up failing.

I have the PortaPros which use the same drivers as the KSC75s and they sound great for $30. These probably sound good, but if you want something that sounds a bit better, get the KSC75s or PortaPros. Can't go wrong with either one.
