Yeah, it was pretty good. The demo plays like a God of War-style action game and after the game came out, it turned out that the combat featured in the demo was only a small part of the game. There were a lot of RTS battles that weren't that well done.

If you happen to like heavy metal music though, the game should appeal to you. A great metal soundtrack, homages to the genre in the enemy types and environment, and characters voiced by singers like Halford. Jack Black wasn't bad at all as the main character either; I know he grates on some people, but he was pretty toned-down. The game had some quirky and funny moments. And one of the coolest main menu screens out there.

Sigh... only the Xbox versions are available for local pickup but nothing for PS3 is in stock locally for me

I bought this for $2.99 last year during black friday. Played it for about an 2 hours and put it away. It's not a bad game, but I just couldn't get into it. The controls felt clunky and frankly I felt bored. And given my massive backlog of AAA title games that I had yet to play, I felt it was a waste of my time.

That being said, if you have nothing else to do you can do far worst for $2.99 and the gas to pick it up from Best Buy. Though for ~$5, there are a whole host of other awesome games out there you could play.
