for what it's worth, i just bought a two 8-setting sets from Oneida, and absolutely love them. I paid $80 each ($160 total) for the two sets. I bought these:

The product is actually quite "heavy" and does not feel cheap. Makes for very nice presentation for a formal sit down dinner over the holidays. I looked at the Groove set as well, and liked the quality also. The only reason i went with the other is I liked the design better.

This sale is great. The title is probably misleading because it doesn't address all of the other items for sale, some at terrific prices. Repped.

18/0 stainless steel is the low grade which may tarnish and/or rust over time. 18/10 and 18/8 is the high grade. See here [foodservicewarehouse.com] for details.

Not defending the quality of the flatware, but the article above is misleading. Although nickel helps, chromium is the primary substance that prevents rusting.

Also I think that knife experts believe too much chromium will make the metal soft. Carbon content is supposedly what makes knives hard. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Buyer beware: For those (like me) who were loyal to the Oneida brand name, I recently ordered some replacement pieces. The items I received looked like factory line rejects compared to my original set. I quickly contacted Oneida and requested replacements. The representative stated that she "could not guarantee the new items would be any higher quality" as they are made in China now.

I can't speak for all of their products, but this order was placed on 12/12/12 and was an utter disappointment.
