When can weber be on sale?

My parents have this grill, I have cooked on it about 10 times over the past year. Worst grill I have ever cooked on. Inconsistent heat, Hot spots, pain in the ass to clean... I have cooked on a grill for 20 years, 5 as a line cook.
Would recommend using a park grill over this POS.

VERY HARD TO CLEAN, beware!

Have had this exact grill purchased from Lowes for $399 since the beginning of last summer. F'ng fantastic grill. Retooled mine for natural gas. Yes there is a little more to it in regards to keeping it clean, turn it up to high after cooking, burn the hell out of everything on there, scrape it (they include a tool for the grates to get in between spots) and then I re-oil it. Let everything cool off, slap the cover on, done. Not a spot of rust anywhere on mine.

If you are too lazy to take care of it, you'll hate it.

If you're not- I've had some of the most absolutely AMAZING grilled steaks, chicken, burgers off this thing. Best I've ever had. I'd not hesitate to buy the exact same grill again at exactly what I paid for it at Lowes. At $250 this is a freaking STEAL. If they had them in stock, I'd buy another one for when this one finally croaks. My last charbroil lasted me 10 years. You could almost buy 3 of these grills for the cost of a Weber and I don't think the weber would put out as great tasting a food as this Charbroil, sorry. I don't think ANY grill can put out better food than this damn thing.

I have owned probably 6 grills over my lifetime and I ended up picking this one up last year. By far the best grill I have ever owned. Cooks quick and evenly and is super easy to clean. Wish I had gotten it at this price!

We have the red version of this instead of the stainless and it is a great grill. Got it for around $100 for the display @ home depot couple years ago w/coupon. Works great going on 2 years and can clean the grates in the dishwasher. Haters need to learn how too use it.

my charbroil lasted less than 3 years. the vaporisers rusted. about $100 to go oem on replacement or 40ish on the bay. either way not worth it.

If you are going to buy this grill make sure you keep it in doors when you are not using it. Otherwise it will only last 2-3 years before rusting out and falling apart. I've owned Charbroil grills and there is a reason why they go on sale for these ridiculous prices and why Weber's NEVER go on sale.

If someone claims they got a Weber on sale for several hundred dollars less they are either a flat out liar or bought some other grill and thought it was a Weber. My dad bought a Weber Genesis 2 years ago in the dead of Winter for $800 at Fortunoff. It was the same price they were asking in May. No change in price what so ever. BUT they had several Charbroils that were drastically reduced on sale.

That Weber is stored outside in the elements and it still looks like new and grills awesome. If you want a grill that lasts and can spend the extra money go for a Weber. You will not regret it.

Made in China?

I have one of these since this summer, picked it up at a garage sale for $100. My only issue, and I'm not sure if it's because it was previously owned or what, but the temperatures on this grill are weird. On low heat, I can barely cook anything, anything beyond that acts like I have it on super high, burning the shit out of everything I cook.

As far as rusting is concerned, just buy one of those grill covers and you'll be fine.

I will just stick with Weber. Have one going for almost 10 yrs now. It was cheap then like $400 or so. The new one is lot more, $699 but looks solid.

I have the smaller version of this and I love it! This is coming from someone who loves charcoal grills. I will now only own a TRU Infrared grill!
