On Backorder, but can still submit order to lock in that price - I just did it myself
Awesome price considering it usually runs for $140. And for those that don't know this is pretty much the top of the line Fiio Amp/DAC you can buy. Not saying that there aren't better ones out there, but for Fiio there isn't.
Also an authorized retailer [com.cn] according to Fiio so that's always a plus

Congrats to those of you who get it!
Also, if anyone has paired this with a Sennheiser HD 598 and can comment on the change, I'd be happy to hear about it. I don't have a problem with volume on my compute, but I've heard and read that the amp will improve their low frequency response, and that the DAC can improve computer audio. Then again, I don't hear an audible hiss or anything when I turn the volume up without music, so I'm unsure if the DAC would do a whole lot for me. I also don't, as of now, use a portable device for my headphones, so I could just get a $40 audio card if the DAC changes are that significant.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone have an opinion on whether or not it's worth it to get the E09K dock?
I own the Fiio E11 for portable use, so I'm still happy with the Modi/Magni purchase, but if you're just starting to get into it, I have to agree that the E17 right now is a great price to jump in, though if you don't need the DAC, I'd stick with just getting an E11 for starters.

Well it's all subjective. Some people like the O2 combo, but that runs you about $300 and doesn't look as great, IMO. Lots of tests have shown that the difference between the two are negligible, which is why more people are starting to adopt Schiit into their lives rather than the O2.
A lot of people on Head-Fi like the Modi/Magni combo as an entry-level desktop amp/dac setup, and that's why I picked them up. I'm not going to expect anything like a tube amp's quality, but they're economical and have fairly good reviews. And that they're fully manufactured in the US is great as well, say nothing of their warranty.
It'd be helpful to other people on the forums if you could back-up your claims by providing a setup that compares outstandingly well in the price range, or by proving that Schiit's quality is subpar.

A pretty good rig for a mid-level audiophile... as long as you throw away all those crappy MP3 files and switch over to FLAC (but that's a discussion for a rainy day)
