I owned three Bodum over the last several years. All three broke when they simply tipped over on my counter. It's why I refused to keep supporting the product line. Glass shouldn't break from a simple tip, the Bodum is lousy quality glass. I purchased this for $27 two months ago (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004S1DB) and it blows away all the Bodum ones I used. The mechanism is smoother, the coffee stays much warmer, not one coffee ground in the coffee, and absolutely no chance of breaking.

I have relatively average-small hands.  :If you need cups I'd get a mug, If you need a french press I'd get the Bodum Crema. Having plastic lining on the side is extremely helpful if you need to grab anywhere but the handle (maybe passing it around) it happens, its not just me! haha. |
