Just a word of warning. Be sure to research the difference between the Anker Astro3E and the Astro3. Both reviews are clubbed together by Amazon but the latter is $60 and includes a wall charger and other accessories that the Astro3E leaves out. I'd have been pretty annoyed as the product page and the reviews indicate it has accessories and a charger as well.

I have 3e and it works as promised. Got it for similar price but without the card charger. Anker makes good stuff, I have a HTC inc 2 battery from them too.

Ah, balls. I got this deal but assumed a wall charger was a must. Still, I have plenty of AC-USB connectors and cables to spare. Doesn't bother me. Thanks for the heads up however.

The Astro3 charger was a 12V input, but the 3E is the standard 5V that comes with all microUSB phones and other toys.

With all these battery xxxmAh ratings, I wonder what voltage they're referring to... The internal battery's voltage or the 5V output. Sketchy marketing.

the Astro3e suited my needs better than the Astro3, which offered a few features that I do not need, as it appears to be much slimmer. The lack of an AC adapter did not bother me as I expect that I can simply use a standard Iphone AC USB adapter for charging or connect it to my laptop.

That said, if you need the ability to charge a laptop or other device that requires than 5v, then you should look into the Astro3.

Aw man I ordered it late last night and missed this. (I think I looked through all of the promotions...) Oh well.

I also have an Astro2. Be sure to get the serial number and write it down...customer service is great but the serial number is not actually on the product (at least not on the Astro2) and you'll need it to get any replacement tips or anything.

I have the Astro2 and I love it. But I really like the design of the Astro3E so I might get this one too. Can't have too much extra power, right?

BTW, I much prefer the 3E to the 3. The 3E uses a standard micro USB cable to charge the unit. The 3 uses a round power adapter to charge the unit. If you're like me or most people I know, then you'll already have several micro USB cables at home. This is a HUGE plus.

i have the astro slimtalk and astro 3E... love both and are always lifesavers.

well not really lifesavers if i rely on them to last me the day all the time... but they haven't failed me once.

So what kind of connector does this use to charge the battery? I bought a different battery from ravpower which uses some PSP connector, so after losing the cable I have no cable nor any ability to find replacements to charge the stupid thing. Does this at least use a microUSB connector to charge the battery? OR something somewhat standard where finding a USB cable is trivial?

I believe that you can use the included micro USB cable to charge the device.

If you want to plug it into the wall, you will need a wall adapter with a standard USB output.

Does the 3E charge a Touchpad? the 3 doesn't...if the 3E does I might grab one!
