Amazon just reduced my favorite ever meal replacement / protein shake from $33 to $12.76 for the case.
This stuff is amazing and this is my favorite flavor. I much prefer it to the chocolate or the coffee. It is all organic, contains fruit and veggies. Delicious and satisfies my vanilla milk shake cravings. I just ordered 3 cases. I have never seen it this low.
Note:
There were a lot of complaints about the old formula and then on Feb 1st someone posted this:
They changed it back! Its thinner and much better tasting now. I'm back to being an Orgain fanatic. Thank you , thank you! Word of caution - order from Amazon.com (do not use a third party vendor)

I began drinking this after a friend's suggestion this past summer, around June '12. I tried the vanilla, chocolate, and thought it was ok - but I LOVED the mocha. They're expensive at about $3 a single, or $2.50 if you can manage to find 4-packs at the store. The cases of 12 are around $30 normally. But since they are good for you, and I had a real problem with in between hunger and snacking, I loved these for those times, and as a post workout drink. I was HOOKED on them.
In the fall, I found them on Amazon for less than my price at the grocery store and bought 2 cases. I thought - and you'll read this exact sentiment echoed in the various Amazon review comments, that the batch had gone bad. It wasn't just that it didn't taste right... it tasted downright nasty. It was unpleasant. It seemed like it was spoiled. The texture was wrong. It didn't mix when shaken. It was 'muddy' and 'syruppy'. I called Amazon and told them, and they refunded me. I figured, I'd ever buy from Amazon again and went back to the grocery store. The next box from there, BAD. Same thing. I was perplexed. This continued over the next month and a half, as I went from store to store trying out cases, finding out they were all bad, and was convinced it was just a bad batch from the company and intended to contact and inform them that something went wrong.
It was then that I came across that discussion on Amazon. Suddenly it all made sense. They changed the formula, but they said nothing of doing so. No "New Formula" sticker on the packaging. No distinct change in packaging - nothing. This. THIS, was the thing that hurt them most. It wasn't just that a product people truly enjoyed and spent lots of money on changed for the worse - it's that there was no transparency. I lost respect for the company after that. I never found a true replacement as I drink protein shakes post workout and no longer have a meal replacement for in between meal snacks. I saw this post right after it went live and, even though one comment claims they changed the formula for the better, could not convince myself to buy it (even at that insane price). The fact is that every single time I bought a new case or single after the change and tried it (before I knew it had changed), the taste was SO bad and so unpleasant I think I'm conditioned to expect them to taste like absolute vomit. That makes me sad, but it's the sad truth. They really messed up.
Anyone with prior Orgain experience, please chime in with your taste results of this "new" batch, any flavor. The reason I'm skeptical is that they claimed they were aware of the situation and were doing something about it for months... even during that time I was trying them over and over. I never noticed a change.
