I have a PSU that looks identical to that one, designed to use with a hard drive, but it won't power up if I just have a fan plugged into it. When I daisy chain the fan to a hard drive, then everything kicks on. I'm assuming this one might have the same issue? I could just have a freak part though..

EDIT: Nm, reviews say it works fine w 12v fans, but not with 5v. That was probably my prob.
