Stopped by store in Frederick, MD.. had them in middle of aisle with the $19.99 price on them.. 3 more boxes besides the open one on top, so at least 40 there when I left.

while the above will work for a while, eventually the lines inside the cord get twisted and the last couple feel of the cord look all twisted around.

I bought the adapters for the other outlets. Now I just need beefy extension cords.
If you have a 16awg extension, it won't melt if you don't max it out. If you run say half the rating, you will be fine. The one thing I don't know is the startup amps required for sump pumps and forced air if that short amount of time would melt the wire.
