This is clearly a penny wise, pound foolish situation if I've ever seen one. I've had very bad problems with this brand of thin/cheaply made HDMI cables. Depending on the quality of your signal output and sensitivity of your projector or image source, you will probably experience the gray/black screens that myself and others are experiencing. It's almost like a 'time out' while things get back to normal.

My kids bent one side of it by stepping on the cable a bit and it stopped working, we replaced it with a backup (same make) cable and it still had some problems. but once again, toddler bends the connector a bit and it stopped working too. We have a more expensive monster cable (much heavier duty strain/plug relief and much thicker cable) and the toddlers played with the connectors when we couldn't catch them in time and never had any problems since.

Pay $5 more and get a thicker cable and one better made.

Bought one of these last week, no issues so far.

Just the other day I was trying to track down an HDMI cable. At this price, I might as well add another 4 so that I don't have that problem again. Thanks OP!

How the heck are your toddlers walking all over HDMI cables? I'm just thinking of my setup and I cannot figure out a way that a child would be able to step on any of the cables. Don't you have your TV or monitors on stands or desks?

i have my projector on the middle of the living room table. we have a 2 story vaulted ceiling so we can't have a ceiling mount. we haven't run the cables under the hardwood at this point so it's just exposed wires. usually the kids know to go to the left, but when they go crazy and chase each other, common sense goes out the window and they run in circles and trip over the cables once in a blue moon. after 3 years, only 3 cables have 'gone'. so it's not too bad.

we're moving or i'd run them through the floor trusses.

Is there any issue with the 6' ones too, or is it only a problem with 25' ?

unless its a price mistake, a 4 dollar 25' HDMI isn't gonna carry a 1080p signal well. You don't need a Monster cable, but you'll want to spend around $15 for something reliable.
