For rebate purposes, I placed like 7 separate orders. Last time I did it with Brink/Mafia 2, they shipped them together anyway. I'm pretty sure they'll do the same here even if you order them separately.

In any case, does someone know the answer to my previous question? Does "Activate on Steam" mean that I don't need the disc for anything? Just the activation key and it'll automatically download on there?

And even if you placed orders separately, NE will sometimes combine everything into a single shipment. I ordered Mafia 2, Brink, and McAfee last week and everything came in one box.

Is the rebate legit? In the past I have done rebates for FAR products purchased from Newegg but did not receive the rebate despite sending in all the relevant information.

That is correct. If you activate the key on your steam account, the game will be added to your library. At that point you could either install the game(s) via disc or download it via Steam.

AHH! Had Fallout 3 in my cart but after taking a minute to change my shipping info it sold out!

Damn, New Vegas and Force Unleashed 2 OOS. Only 2 I'm interested in, unfortunately.

I have recieved all my rebates from newegg in the past. I think they use 4myrebate as the underlying processor.

the thing is 80 percent of people fill them out wrong. Im serious. there was a bug in how 4myrebate had it rebates stored in the cloud.. and if you raised the url number by 1 increment you could view all the other rebate submissions.. and 8 out of 10 I would have declined. some people just sign thier name.. others forget the reciept, others leave thier phone number blank, use a post office box, forget to sign thier name, forget the upc, only put thier first name on, send it late and so on.

newegg sends you a confirm email when you submit the rebate. so mark it as priority, scan a copy of your rebate to your pc and check back on it after a certain amount of time.

Shoprunner cancelled my account because I placed too many Newegg orders (no joke).

What is the reasoning behind placing separate orders for each game/publisher? Just place one order for everything and circle the rebate items when you mail them in...

If you bought them on the same order, then you would send in one rebate form with all 4 UPC's and you will get a $40 Visa card in the mail.

Oh weird. 4MyRebate has been very reliable but their practices are strange. I have some rebates that are approved on the spot with instant GCs processing and others that are approved on the spot with no GC processing 10 days later. I even have some that have been received like two weeks ago with neither approval nor denial.

Eh, last two rebates I did with Newegg they rejected even though I filled them out perfectly. Have been having a real hard time with them these days. Not quite up to par as they once were.
