I went ahead and bought the Nex-6. I will probably upgrade to full frame Nex-9, if it comes out. But only when it becomes a slick deal. If history is any guide, that time is a long time into the future. I will have gotten very good mileage out of the Nex-6 by that time.
The 16-55mm kit lens isn't worth keeping anyway, the sale the of Nex 6 body only is $750 now until 3/2 with sony instant rebate.

and also camera bodies always go down in price, I personally have an NEX 5, so i'm in no rush for the 6, EVF is nice, but I also own alpha bodies with EVF.

2) Has a touchscreen (albeit a crappy one)
3) Has a screen that can flip 180 degrees instead of about 90 up/45 down on the NEX-6

I chose Nex 6 for EVF and unobtrusive flash. A VF really helps take steadier shots.

NEX9 will most likely be over $2,500
If size isn't an issue, you can get the same performance from a57 at half price.
Love the NEX-6. I bought and sold so many cameras last year...Canon, Nikon, Olympus, full-frame, Micro 4/3, but this has the best balance of size and image quality for me so far. Almost went with the OM-D but the NEX-6 has much better ergonomics and is cheaper to boot.
