Did some checking, and this specific product has been discontinued--newegg is pretty much the only legit retailer still selling it. There's already a replacement available (pretty much the same, different model#). That likely explains the pricing/rebate.

I really dislike that almost anything on sale at Newegg has a rebate attached to it. I love Newegg and I've spent at least ten thousand with them over the last four years but when I build a new system for someone and 3/4ths of the parts all have a rebate, it's really annoying.

This is nice. It is InkJet Printable which is usually more expensive.

Usually, it's the cheap (quality/price) stuff that has the rebates attached. You should use newegg to shop for those more expensive goods

Newegg has lots of game sales--never rebates attached with those.

I don't buy the cheap stuff generally, it's almost always computer parts that end up having the rebates. Video cards, memory, cases, power supplies HDD/SSD almost all have had rebates I've had to mail in, even some of the coolers and fans have had them.

I know it's not just Newegg, it would just be nice if all the retailers could tell the manufacturers they wanted to deliver products to customers for the same price AR without the rebate.
