is this another model for the pro u controller? the picture shows its matte black. i thought it was supposed to be super shiny?

i just relooked at the pictures. all the pictures show matte black except for the picture with the product box

I think it's only matte finish in the underside of the controller and shiny on the top side

Now started using to watch youtube and amazon/netflix

the remote runs through a pair of batteries every 2 hrs..may be the circuit is messed up(I cleaned up the batteries and rust since they were left in there for 3 years)

Will the Wii plus work with wii sports and you tube?

Or am I better off buying the regular remote

the wii motion plus just includes an accelerometer for more precise motion tracking. its actually required for some of the new games like the skyward sword. if you need a new remote this would be the one to get, this is about what they run used at gamestop. this will work just like the other one you have, and you would never know it has the motion plus in it. batteries should last you quite a while i know regular use i could get 30-40 hours on some decent batteries, also be sure when youre watching the shows to point it away from the tv. it keeps that play button and tracking bar off the screen and the wii mote should auto powersave off. =)

Those claims remind me of my laptop mouse I had. 1 AA battery and it lasted over half a year. I was quite surprised. I was used to things like the original gameboy that ran though 4 AA batteries in a few hours.
