Same here, only in the sticks of Jersey. 16 as well... Guess I need to go put the record on now.

Oh, and I never would have thought that I would live on Transylvania Road, but I do. Really and truly.

Okay, so what did everyone bring to the theater for this show? Here's what I remember:
Rice - for the wedding
Squirt guns - for the rain
Newspaper - to protect you from the rain
Lighter - for the light in the window (later banned by the theater because newspaper was being set on fire)
Cards - for sorrow, cards for pain
Noisemakers - for the creation scene
Toast - for the dinner toast
Bell - Did you hear a bell ring?

Interesting cultural difference I noted in the 80s. I first saw this show in Jersey, where everyone would shout "nice tits!" when Janet appeared. A few years later I moved to Utah where everyone shouted "slut!". Except of course for that one odd person in the back shouting "nice tits".

Good times. I just introduced my 19 year old son to the show about six months ago, and we are introducing his girlfriend (Rocky Horror Virgin) to the show next Saturday.
