Craftsman 12'' 4 Amp Electric Weed Trimmer $19.99 (reg. $39.99) [sears.com]
Product Description
Take the Cord, Leave the Battery and Forget the Hassel
When all you have is a smaller to mid-sized yard, there's no sense wasting time mixing oil and gas or waiting for the battery to charge in order to just get a little work done. Instead, break out the cord and plug into Craftsman's 4 amp 12" electric trimmer. With this powerful string trimmer, you'll get the kind of power that leaves battery operated trimmers in the dust and the kind of convenience that keep gas powered weed whackers sitting in the shed. Designed for practically sized properties, this weed trimmer packs a powerful punch, drawing only the energy it needs to complete tough jobs without producing clouds of toxic smoke.
Plug this string trimmer in and see how the 9,000 RPM operating speed produces enough velocity to slice through the densest stands of weeds, grass and overgrowth. Lightweight, without a battery or heavy engine to haul around, you move quickly, cord in tow, getting all your yard work done fast so you can move on to bigger and better things.
Constructed with built-in versatility, the trimmer head of this powerful weed whacker was designed for 180 degree rotation, allowing you to adapt this tool to a variety of tasks from getting rid of weeds to edging sidewalks and gardens and even keeping bushes and shrubs trimmed with precision. And, with an adjustable handle plus a telescoping shaft, you'll be able to tailor this weed eater to the perfect fit, whether you're trimming up and down slopes or keeping that garden path tidy.
With smart design, a durable build and the ability to accommodate many outdoor jobs, grab this powerful trimmer from your shed or garage and see how lightweight, on demand power helps you get more done this spring, summer and fall.

At $20 even if I get 6 months out of it, I'd be satisfied.
Don't exeed the line size or you risk burning up the motor.
Works fine for me. Saves me from keeping a gas can for it and cuts whatever I need it to the half a dozen times a year I may use it.
I've seen plenty of people mention that they had their free points expire because they didn't realize they had any.
disappoint me at that price. I'll save my receipt just in case tho...
I got this one last year and paid 25 bucks. it is not very powerful but pretty good
Thanks OP, I can finally stop using the half-broken POS weed whacker I've been struggling with for years!
