The game isn't unplayably slow. If the game was centered around action I probably couldn't bear it. But since most of the game is questioning witnesses and finding clues, I can deal with the occassional chase scenes.

Note that I kept the facial animation setting on quality because I didn't wanna compromise on that. This game really has the best facial animation in any game to date.

I'm only about an hour into la noire, but I havn't noticed any issues playing with my 7950

Can these be activated on steam? And anyone know if Fear 3 is good? Been looking for a decent horror game.

LA Noire caps the FPS at 30. Even a 650 could max it out.

There may be a way to uncap the framerate via editing an ini file.

Fear 3 is awful. Its an action shooter game that does nothing particularly well, little to no horror elements that made the first one great (tbh the first one wasn't that scary either). It was an underwhelming experience.

at $4 i'll take the chance on a OK game. Loved the first one, second was OK. repped

Can't comment on the PC version and framerate issues, but the PS3 version of LA Noire is definitely great and worth $6. If you have a powerful PC, I'd say go for it.

FEAR and it's two expansion packs, Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate were amazing games. FEAR 2 kept the feel of the first game and was still quite a bit of fun to play.

In my opinion FEAR 3 is worth about the $4 sale price. It was not up to the standards of the first games at least not as a FEAR title. I played all of the titles back to back a few months ago. You should play the games in order if you liked the storyline of the first game.

I'll go out on a limb and say it's probably been a while since you've had an AMD card. I switched over to a 7970 and have been nothing but impressed, especially with the drivers they released last summer.

And as for the FEAR games, I loved the original and everything else that came after, only not so much as the original. The effects were groudbreaking...in it's time. And FEAR 3 is on the Steam list.
