The Hunger Games Trilogy eBook for Kindle or Android $5 (expired)

I bought this on Kobo last year when it was on FP. I loved all the books.

which would be better, the kindle or google play one? How is the kindle app on Android tablets?

Is this for girls only? I seen a lot of girls read these books -_-

Books aren't bad. Thought the first movie was horrible.

I really enjoyed the movie and it made me want to read the books. I really don't understand the complaints - the shaky cam was not that bad, and it was only used in action scenes. And the violence was not toned down- the book was not super detailed about the violence to begin with.

The movie impressed me more when I found that it is 99.9% similar to the book, which is hard to do.

Then the second book was one of the most entertaining stories I've ever read in my life (and I read a lot). It's a damn good book, it's not a work of art for the ages but it was so much fun to read.

Third book was weaker, too much of the storyline was gone through in book 2, it's one long conclusion... still worth reading though.

Install Calibre [calibre-ebook.com] and convert whatever you want (midi, epub, pdf, fb2, ....) to whatever you want.
Then drop your book in appropriarte format onto your device (whatever it is).

I think the violence was toned down, but I can't think of specific examples to support that. I just know watching the movie I felt it was toned down. Possibly that they told you about deaths rather than showing them?

And yes and no. It was similar, but there were omissions like the mutts being the former combatants. I also thought that even though the movie was almost three hours long, the pace was all over the place. It started very nicely on pace with the book, but when they finally get to the arena, everything FLIES by and the pacing is completely off. It just suddenly speeds to conclusion. That was the most disappointing part of the adaptation, IMO.

Great movie and an even better book. Anyone who hates the movie needs to read the book to appreciate this masterpiece. It has more drama and paints a clearer picture of the districts, Panem and the characters, including the tributes who didnt get enough exposure in the movie. Catching fire is the best of the 3 books and with the impressive new cast led by Philip Seymour Hoffman, the movie will be spectacular.

You will have to borrow each book separately on your Kindle.
