2 different things. Xbox live is a membership to their online gaming community. These are points, or currency to buy things on Xbox live such as games, Avatar items, movies, etc.

This comes to $42.47 for 4000 points.....the 4000 point cards hit $35 from time to time on Ebay/BUY.com.
