Great deal though... reps.

1) upgrade HDD to another (SSD is what I have in mind)
2) Upgrade RAM to 32 GB (will it support that?)
3) Replace CD/DVD drive with another HDD
2. LOL WTF why? (max is just 16GB)
3. Yes, you can. You just buy a drive caddy for the modular bay, and put any hard drive you want in it (2in) It's even hot swappable.
The specific laptops that my brother, girlfriend, and I have had are: 2 different Dell Inspiron 15, HP dv6z, ASUS G53S 2 Lenovo (I have no idea which model; I've never had an Lenovo, personally), and another HP (non-Envy).
I had no idea that most 15" laptops do not have a dedicated 10-key. I thought the majority of them did, which is why I thought it was strange that this laptop does not. Thanks for the information.

But I agree that in order to fully experience WIN8, I would like to wait for another touchscreen deal.
This is an awesome deal if you don't care for the touchscreen experience.

I'm on this laptop now. Best laptop I've ever owned.

Regarding point 2, may be I overestimated may be more like 16 GB. but I know my friend has a Lenovo Y Series with two 500 gb ssd and 32 gb ram. He is able to run a pretty system intensive VM (SharePoint server and timer jobs, Visual Studio 2010, SQL Server, LDAP etc) while keeping another intensive VM open (WebLogic, Oracle etc.). Pretty impressive. I don't mind spending the money because this is money spent towards my profession and as long as it is worth it it is all good
