I mean, this one is huge. The instant will probably fit only 4 comfortably, It seems to have a much better ventilation, higher and instant (for what it is worth).however, very big when folded, and much more expensive than this one.
Any thoughts?
When I was growing up, my family had a large tent with metal poles (read: very heavy and a pain to setup), but it accommodated our 5-person family very well, and it's still in great condition even though my parents bought it 25 years ago (it's a Coleman, though I suspect the quality is different than today's "as sold at Walmart" Coleman models).
Since I'm hoping to have it for 10+ years, I don't really mind spending several hundred bucks for a quality tent (especially for a "Made in the USA" tent). Any suggestions? Thanks!
tents and it the best I have ever used for Spring/Summer/Early Fall camping (I live in Ohio).

BTW. I went camping with two people that had Ozarks trail tents. Both were absolute garbage. My fam was dry while they were getting soaked.
Spend the extra money and get something that lasts.
PS: Even though the Red Canyon is a great tent, whenever I buy a new tent the first thing I do is set it up on a nice day and spray down every seam with Kiwi Camp Dry, Heavy Duty Water Repellent just for added leak insurance: For a little over 6 bucks shipped it's a no-brainer.
